I just returned from a road trip to the NC Outer Banks with Caleb, Sam and Criswell. We went in search of surf and were unsuccessful. The ocean looked like a lake for most of the trip. We finally scored some waves at Cape Hatteras, but for being one of the best breaks on the east coast, it was pretty pitiful. We had fun anyway and I would definitely be up for revisiting the Outer Banks one day.
First stop was at the Skylight Inn, "The Bar-B-Q capital of the world." Being a huge fan of NC vinegar based BBQ, it was delicious.
Like I said, the BBQ capital of the world.
HAD to stop at Dunkin Donuts for Large Coffee.
...and at Mackey's for some boiled Peanuts.
This is where we were expecting to see some 10 ft. barrels, instead it was a beautiful day at the Atlantic Lake.
