My night has been spent in my psychology book. When I actually sit down and read it, I sort of find it fascinating. The hard part is forcing myself to sit down and read it. So for your benefit, here are some interesting facts from my psychology book:
1) New York Mayer from 1933 to 1945, Fiorello LaGuardia, was fluent in English, Italian, and Yiddish. He was not only fluent in the verbal aspect of each language, but also the gestures that went along with each one. The cool part is that researches can watch films of his speeches and tell what language he is speaking with the volume turned off because of his nonverbal communication.
2) The sign of the University of Texas is to extend the index finger and the pinkie. In Italy and other parts of Europe, the same hand gesture means a man's wife has been unfaithful to him...Don't pull for the longhorns in Europe.
3) Your facial expressions not only reflect your feelings, but they can influence them. SO if you are mad or sad, make an effort to smile and it can actually make you happier....Good to know.
There are my random facts for the day.
