A Real Aussie Barbie

Alright, so while Ned was having his adventure, the boys and I (jonathan) where having an adventure of our own.  Mainly last Sunday. 

So we woke up and caught the 925 bus into town to  make to church by ten.  Church was awesome i really like going there a lot.  It seems like it is Hillsong rooted and very upbeat.  Then after church we got invited to a 'proper Barbie' at some of our new friends named the Carmen's.( I really wish i could  tell you how incredible this family is.)  When we first got over there we started cooking lunch, and now I know why people talk so highly of Australian Barbie's now because it was out of this world good.  Tons of Sausage, (which is a better version of hotdogs) steaks, chicken kebabs Caesar salad, house salad with grilled ham and bacon, and rolls.  It was amazing!!!  Then after we recoverd from the meal, we loaded up the 4x4's(which are offroad SUV's) with surf boards and boogie boards and headed off to Redhead beach.  When we got to the beach entrance I couldn't even tell we were there.  It just looked like a dirt path off the road that turned into sand with bushes all around.  Then Evan,(which is Daniel dad.  Daniel is our age) gives us these little metal pieces and tells us to put them on the tires where you pump up the tire.  So we did and it started letting air out of the tire,(evidentlly they let ot a certain amount of air so you can tread through the sand without getting bogged down) then we heard,"all right hop in."   Then we took off through this desert/sand dune/off road adventure finally we ended up on the beach.  We then probably trecked another half mile to this "Secret Surf Spot"  And at that point it was on.  All of us jumped on some kind of board and we in the water!!!  And you'll never guess it, I stood up on my first wave!!!!! it was sweet!! So we surfed untill we could not surf anymore then we loaded back up the car and went straight back to church.  And at that point after church was over you would think that the party day was over, think again!! There was a college party immediatly after church with snacks and drinks  and dance music where we made new friends.  By the time we finally got back to the house it was all we could do to make it to bed.  What a day, one that we will not soon forget!!
